Story

Experience:

My name is Kirill Anisimov, and I am an experienced fitness professional with nearly ten years of experience in the sports and exercise field. I was a track and field athlete and an amateur boxer in competitions around Australia, winning the Brisbane corporate boxing title, a gold medal in the Australian Club Championship and other local competitions. I studied for a Bachelor of Business, majoring in accounting and a Master in Finance, and then worked in the corporate world. None of that brought joy, and it was hard for me to identify a path in life.

After moving to Hobart, Tasmania, I searched for what I wanted to do. I eventually found a boxing club (Bridgewater PCYC) where I continued my journey in boxing. The world of boxing taught me a lot. Win or lose, it does not change who we are. Our concept of the world is the only determining factor in how our lives will go and how we perceive ourselves.

Challenges:

Going through immense life challenges, operating in a day-to-day environment becomes overwhelming. How does one apply oneself in life? Do we take action to avoid difficulty by making a smooth sail? Or do we take actions that help to solve our challenges and provide a foundation to live a meaningful life?

Sports and exercise science, primarily the boxing domain, helped me overcome those challenges. It helped me to become a better human being. It taught me to treat people with honour and respect and help them to achieve their dreams.

Mission:

As time passed, I needed to find a mission that would give reason and meaning to what I did. I worked for a long time in the Hospitality, Disability, and Sports industries. By doing that, I understood how important it is to provide specialised physical assistance to people, each of whom has specific needs and abilities that help improve their quality of life.

Any physical activity has enormous benefits for our health. It helps us to develop discipline, focus, and concentration by controlling our anger and frustration. We learn how to use it for a better purpose. We aim to live quality lives, serve our society and be the best versions of ourselves.

MBS Fitness:

MBS Fitness is a Tasmania-owned business that empowers individuals to achieve their fitness goals and improve their overall wellbeing. We strive to help our community live a quality life by participating in physical activity.

The triangle in the MBS Fitness logo symbolises the mind, body, and spirit, with a dot representing a human being who encompasses all three elements. Black and Yellow represent a Tasmanian bird species: the yellow-tailed black cockatoo.
